Amnesty International – Art of Freedom

For World Press Freedom Day on May 3rd, we’ve developed a local project for Amnesty’s Turkey Branch. To raise awareness about the unconventional arrests of press members in Turkey, we’re utilizing something very unique and local. In Turkish prisons, there’s a tradition where prisoners engage in bead embroidery to pass their time and find solace. We’ve collaborated with locals to create unique bead embroideries and we’re stitching our messages onto them.
